Supporting the Home

The Muhammadiyah Welfare Home (MWH) is a residential care home located in Singapore which caters for boys aged 10 to 19. The boys and young men in the home come from a variety of backgrounds – some from disadvantaged families, some have suffered abuse and neglect, others were orphaned at an early age. MWH aims to provide care, support and education to enable a positive future despite the difficult start its residents have faced.

Sembawang Engineers and Constructors, a company of the Punj Lloyd Group, initiated their involvement with the home in early 2012. The partnership supports MWH’s ambitions to provide a positive and productive future for the boys and enable them to realise their potential. Although in its early stages, Sembawang’s involvement has already facilitated a number of projects and activities to meet this objective.
