GE Industrial Park, Beijing, China

Sembawang E&C was awarded the contract to design and build GE Industrial Park in China’s Beijing Economic Development Zone, by GE Medical Systems. The project included the design and built of a 4-storey office cum technical centre (OTC) with a basement carpark and a single-storey production cum manufacturing block PMB).

Throughout the construction period, strict safety measures were enforced and the project recorded in excess of 2.5million manhours worked without any reportable accidents.

The project completed successfully on time and on budget in spite of acute weather of raw Northern China winter and regular sandstorms hailing from the Mongolian desert plains.

Design and construction of Office & Technical Centre and Production & Manufacturing Building. Total gross floor area of 47,000 sqm and land area of 61,000 sqm.
