- 2 Tap-off stations and 7 river crossings
Achievements
- Laying 222 km of pipeline in highly sensitive and volatile atmosphere
- 2 km section of Bhivpuri Ghat with extremely steep slopes up to 70o
- Used specialised technology of cable crane system for transporting pipe and equipment down slopes, as conventional method is not possible
- Introduced 'Gabions and Renomatresses' for slope protection, uncommon for pipeline protection
- Crossing of Tapi river by float and sink technique
- 1.5 km crossing by HDD, the longest river crossing of 48" dia done in India
- Anti Buoyancy calculations with float design & spacing
- Awarded Greentech Safety Award for engineering sector
- Project completed in June 2008
