To meet the ever-increasing demand for advanced healthcare facilities in their field, the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) engaged us to construct an 8-storey tower cum 3-storey podium new extension block as well as carry out addition and alteration works to the existing SNEC.
The new complex has a built-up area of about 16,000 square metres. As construction and hospital operations co-existed, the project team had to take care of the sensitivity of the hospital environment and ensure minimal interference to all ongoing activities nearby.
The extension of the centre comprises an additional GFA of 21,500 square metre, including 5 new operation theatre complying to HTM 2025 standard, clinics, laser treatment rooms, 1 floor of research labs for Singapore Eye Research Institute as well as other hospital administrative facilities.
